Being young is hard.

Most of the time we mess up, then learn from our mistakes, other times we realize we were right all along. We’re all sitting on a bundle of life lessons that just won’t make sense until we’re older, and that’s okay.

But it’s 2016, so instead of asking old people what I can look forward to later in life, last night, I decided to ask the Internet. Apparently, here are the words to live life by, according to Reddit. Stay tuned to forty years from now to find out if they’re true.

“Education is no substitute for experience,” says MaxwellFish.

Good, I went to college for nothing.

“Just because someone is educated doesn’t mean they’re smart.”

But if someone is smart they’re usually right, right?

“Pretty much everything my parents told me before I moved out [is true].” – Shaunvw

Great, so my mom is never wrong.

“Brush your teeth.”

In the morning and at night.

“Don’t put your dick in crazy.” Thanks, yousaltybrah.

Or maybe, don’t let the dick in crazy!

And the worst one of all: “You’ll understand when you’re older.”
