No matter what you tell people, we’ve all been that girl who gets a little too drunk and throws up at the party. For me, it was the every time I drank in high school because I didn’t understand that the ideal ratio for mixed drinks wasn’t supposed to be 70% alcohol, 30% soda. For Jennifer Lawrence it was that one time she went to Madonna’s party. Slash all the time.
While most of our mothers raised us with the belief that it’s impolite to talk about our vomiting habits on live TV, luckily for all of us Jennifer Lawrence grew up in a rat-infested NY apartment and has no such hangups. “I am a puker. When I get stressed and exhausted I just vomit. I was driving with my publicist the other day and had to roll down the window and I puked all down the side of the car. It was in front of all the paparazzi – I painted New York! And I threw up at Madonna’s party – on the porch!”
Without hesitating for a second, Eddie Redmayne, who just happened to be seated next to J. Law at the time, felt bold enough to share something with her and the millions of people on the Internet that he’d never been brave enough to say before: “This is something I have never admitted to the world, but I puked at Madonna’s party too!”
Speaking of puking, J. Law also revealed that she’s not looking forward to New Years Eve. “I really hate it. I’ve never had a good one – everyone’s chasing a good time and it’s always a disappointment. I plan on doing nothing and then if something lands in my lap… but I always end up drunk and disappointed.” Then, as a joke she added that, “‘Drunk and Disappointed’ should be the title of my memoir!” As if we really needed another reason that Jennifer Lawrence is actually the twin sister who was separated from the entire millenial female population at birth.
Seriously, bless Britain’s deliciously candid Graham Norton Show for existing. Earlier this year the show gave us the gift of learning that the bullet in 50 Cent’s tongue is great for oral, and now we’re getting Oscar Award-winning actors trading their twin puking stories on late night television. This truly is a great time to be alive.
