According to Refinery29, Caitlyn Jenner arrived at Glamour’s Women of the Year Award Show last night in New York City, appearing in a custom long sleeve blue silk gown by Jeremy Scott. She was honored for her transgender advocacy work, and was up on stage honored among other celebrities such as Reese Witherspoon and Victoria Beckham.
This year she has focused a lot of her attention and spotlight towards helping the public become more aware of long-underserved transgender issues and helping to further educate the public on these issues. Caitlyn commented on this work in an interview with Glamour when she said, “This issue has been swept under the rug for so long. I need to tell this story on the highest level you can possibly do it. Not just for me but for this entire community.”
